Artistic Director

Marcia Brooks is a dancer and choreographer, originally from Miami, FL.  In Miami, she attended New World School of the Arts high school division and continued there, earning a BFA in Dance.  While at New World, she performed lead roles in works by Michael Utoff, Jose Limon and Geri Houlihan, and had the opportunity to work with numerous other choreographers.  She was the first student at New World to produce a full evening of choreography.  Marcia spent 3 summers at the New Arts Festival in Fort Myers, Florida, where she worked with David Parsons, and she was accepted into the Jacob’s Pillow Repertory Etudes workshop, which she attended in 1995.  After moving to New York in 1997 she performed with Tina Croll, Melanie Morris, Paula Pleassas, Ann Robideaux, Ellen Stokes Shadle and RETTOCAMME.  Marcia has taught at various schools in Miami as well as Virginia School of the Arts and Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA and currently teaches at Greenwich Academy where she Directed the Upper School Dance Program for fifteen years. She lives in Greenwich, CT with her son, daughter and husband.  She began Marcia Brooks/Various Works in 2008.
